3-Day Live-in UNESCO-APNIEVE Regional Seminar Workshop

The Surigao del Sur State University (SDSSU) in Tandag City will be hosting a 3-day Live-in UNESCO-APNIEVE Regional Seminar Workshop with the theme “Education for Sustainable Development” at Doña Villa Luisa Hotel in Tandag City on September 12-14, 2012.

At the end of the workshop the participants would be able to;

Explain a holistic and integrated approach to values  education

Develop a deeper appreciation of the core values of peace and to acquire the skills used in the valuing process;

Prepare an action plan for peace advocacy in the classrooms, at home, or other spheres of influences through a better understanding of the meaning of peace and peace education;

Commit to education for sustainable development.

Prepare a group draft lesson plan/syllabus/action plan which integrates values using the holistic and integrated approach to values education

The activity will also be an opportune time to organize the Asia-Pacific Network for International Education and Values Education (APNIEVE) Regional (Caraga) Chapter. 

Participants to the activity shall include the Teachers/Instructors/ Professors/Administrators, Head of Student Affairs, Guidance Counselors of Public and Private Schools in the region.

A registration fee of P3,000.00 shall be charged each participant to cover the plane fare of speakers from Manila, meals and snacks, seminar hand-outs and hotel accommodation. However, the registration fee for the live-out participants is only P 2,000.00.
